Q3: Ads are your best bet. You can also push some external traffic to get clicks going, which helps organic rank over time.
Q4: Conversion boils down to search placement, product quality, listing depth, and reviews. Walmart reviews don’t do photos right now, so your listing has to carry more weight than on Amazon.
Q6: Everyone deals with the data lag. Just use past trends to guess your next moves. Keep clicks/impressions steady so you have a baseline.
Q8: Listings usually lock if Walmart asked for docs and you didn’t submit them. Check your alerts or open a case.
Q13: Frequent edits can definitely tank rankings. Stick to once a week unless something’s broken. Walmart’s data is wonky anyway, so tweaking nonstop makes it impossible to tell what’s working.
IMPORTANT WFS BUG FOR NEW SELLERS
When switching a listing from FBM to WFS, DO NOT set inventory to 0.
The listing has to be active and sellable to convert. If you set stock to 0, it glitches hard: shows FBM but says it’s already on WFS, and you can’t create a shipment.
How to tell you’re stuck: Listing looks FBM, but conversion says “already enrolled in WFS.” That’s the bug.
Fix: Delete and relist. Make sure inventory > 0 before you convert.
Also, Walmart cases take FOREVER (often 3+ days) and docs don’t cover weird edge cases like this. Hope this saves someone the headache.
Q1: Open a case: Items and Inventory > Incorrect Item Categorization > Shelving Path Update Request.
Q2: You just need consistent sales volume to unlock campaigns. No real workaround.
Q7: No built-in per-unit P&L. You have to build it yourself from payout statements.
Q9: Suspensions also come from high ODR, bad VTR, duplicate tracking, too many cancellations.
Q10: Video is supported but limited. Walkthroughs are in the official help center.
Q12: Selective/Semi-Structured works best for most people. Pure wholesale/arbitrage is risky.
Q16: Save with W+ = WFS (Walmart Fulfillment). Pickup = in-store pickup, Delivery = shipped from a store/DC.
Low VTR and late ships will wreck your ODR.
